Project: Twenty-One - the world in seconds (2020)
During my studies at the University of West London, I became aware of the Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) genre. This creative type of photography fascinated me immediately and I decided to photograph a book about ICM in a small edition. Many ICM photographers choose motifs from nature for their pictures. In my ICM work I also focused on motifs from architecture, people and other urban objects.
The title of the project is derived from the number 21 which – when pronounced – takes roughly one second. Therefore, all pictures were taken with a shutter speed of one second to get a reasonable degree of blurring. I paid special attention to the use of various ICM movements and motifs with extremely strong colours. In 2021 the images were presented in framed form at the „Tschik Gallery“ in Linz.
The handmade book was produced in a limited edition of 20 copies.
